Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the ShapeMettle app for iPhone ("the app"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you obtained the app through the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Account

An account is optional: every feature of the app works without one. You may create an account with Sign in with Apple to back up your workouts and sync them across your devices.

• You must be legally able to enter into these terms to create an account, and you are responsible for keeping access to your device and Apple Account secure — actions taken under your account are considered yours.
• One account is for one person; you may not share, sell or transfer it.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that is used to violate these terms, abuse or attack our services, or break applicable law. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you a chance to request an export of your data by emailing support@shapemettle.app, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• You can sign out at any time (the app then continues with a fresh anonymous identity, and your account data stays on our servers until you sign in again) and delete your account in the app's Settings. Deleting the account removes the data stored on our servers as described in the Privacy Policy.
• Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription — subscriptions are billed by Apple and must be cancelled separately in your App Store account settings.
• If we ever discontinue the service, we will give reasonable advance notice and a chance to request an export of your data.

Free tier and Premium

The core features of ShapeMettle are free; the free tier includes a limited number of custom exercises and of AI food analyses in the food diary. ShapeMettle Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes these limits:

• Monthly: $2.99 per month
• Annual: $29.99 per year

Prices are in USD and may vary by region; the exact price is always shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm.

Subscription terms

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Previous purchases can be restored with "Restore purchases" in the app.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.

ShapeMettle is a logging and planning tool. It does not provide medical, health or coaching advice, and its content should not be treated as such. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a training program, and train within your abilities.

Your data

Your data is stored on our servers — see the Privacy Policy. Without an account it is tied to an anonymous identity linked to your installation: if you delete the app or lose the device, we cannot identify that data as yours and cannot recover it. Signing in ties your data to your Apple account so it can be restored on a new device and synced across devices; we cannot restore data of a deleted account.

Acceptable use

You may not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it in violation of applicable law or Apple's App Store terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page; continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
